RESIDENCE RIGHTS AND RESIDENCE DOCUMENTS IN THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS Brexit with a Withdrawal Agreement The EU has reached an Agreement with the UK on citizens’ rights, ahead of the UK leaving the EU on 29 March 2019 or as otherwise decided by EU . Under the Agreement, UK nationals who are eligible for residence rights along with their family members (including family members that are third country nationals), will be able to stay and continue their lives in Cyprus. Cyprus is already taking steps to implement this Agreement reached. The Civil registry and Migration Department has published a detailed paper on how it intends to practically implement the Agreement.
